What's New: November 2025 Feature Updates

November 20, 2025
November 2025 AI Receptionist feature updates overview

We've been hard at work improving AI Receptionist based on your feedback and feature requests. This November, we're excited to share several powerful new capabilities that give you more control over call management and enhance how your AI Receptionist handles incoming calls.

Call Transfer Permission

Take full control of your incoming calls with our new Call Transfer Permission feature. Now you can review caller information before accepting transfers - no more surprise interruptions during important meetings or family time.

Here's how it works: when someone calls and the AI determines they should be transferred to you, you'll receive an SMS notification with all the caller details and a link to the live call dashboard. You can then choose to accept or decline the transfer while the AI keeps the caller engaged. It's the perfect balance between staying connected and maintaining control over your time.

System Emails

Stay informed when things don't go as planned. The AI Receptionist now sends you email notifications when it detects confusion, conflicting instructions, or missing information during calls. This helps you continuously improve your AI's performance and address any gaps in your call handling setup.

But that's not all - you can also configure your AI Receptionist to send emails to your team members and contacts. Just add an AI Instruction specifying when and to whom emails should be sent. This opens up powerful automation possibilities for your business communications.

Extension Dialing

Extension Dialing configuration in contact settings

For businesses using phone systems with extensions, this one's for you. The AI Receptionist can now dial phone extensions automatically when transferring calls. Simply configure the extension numbers in your contact settings, and the AI will handle the rest - seamlessly connecting callers to the right department or person without any manual intervention.

Boss Mode Enhanced Authentication

Boss Mode password authentication via phone keypad

We've enhanced Boss Mode security with password authentication options. You can now protect your call summaries and messages with either a PIN code entered via phone keypad or a verbal passphrase. Note that you still need to call from your registered phone number in your "My Contact" settings - the password adds an extra layer of security on top of phone number verification.

Call Transfer Verbal Confirmation

Clarity matters. The AI Receptionist now always announces "Call Transferring" before every call transfer. This verbal confirmation ensures both you and your callers know exactly when a transfer is taking place, eliminating any confusion about call status.

Better Silence Detection

We've significantly improved how the AI handles silent callers. The system now intelligently attempts to re-engage unresponsive callers and politely ends calls when necessary, rather than waiting indefinitely. Plus, call transcriptions now clearly show periods of silence instead of attempting to transcribe background noise - making your transcripts cleaner and more useful.

Try These Features Today

All of these features are now live and available to AI Receptionist users. We're committed to continuously improving based on your feedback and needs. If you have questions about any of these updates or suggestions for future features, our support team is always ready to help.
